Design notes:

3D Version on existing Hotshots Logo. The finished version had a music sting and a deep voice over synchronized to animation saying one word "Smoking"! Light under chin of logo ball creates eerie shadows on characters face, like holding flashlight under chin telling scary stories around campfire. I used a single surface for the logo head seperating colors and bump maps with weight maps. Getting the red flame to fly off a moving ball was difficult, so I moved the camera instead of the ball. I'm not completly happy with the flame, but had to hit the render button or run out of time. I also rendered with no background and added one in After effects and I must say the alpha-channel knock-out even on the flame was excellent. There are tons of effects in After Effects and I might do more with the background.
