Design notes:

Wanted an animation to make the grocery scale more interesting, so I came up with the mini-trampoline and bounceing orange. Created this model to use as a texturing example that I'll be writing about in the blog section of this site. These scales are still around, but you don't see them much anymore, so I decided to texture it as old and rusty. The orange and lime models are freebees included with the scale, just two models cloned to fill the colander. I used reference images to model as everyone should, but made some changes. The dial on my scale is two sided and seperated with a piece of colored and textured glass. Used Lightwave's timewarp plugin to slow down the speed of the close-up clip of the orange crashing into the limes. I might re-render this to show the orange suddenly slowing down mid-bounce in the wide shot.
