Design notes:

As director/editor I created a TV spot for Texana Plantation Homes just before leaving Time Warner Cable advertising... I was happy with the finished ad, but was unable to get a digital copy to post. I also created the end graphic and had the files, so I re-rendered it to post here. The BG is a photo of a hand painted background mixed with an alpha channel of the Texana housing map slowly moving across the screen. Smoke when the branding iron sets was created with Lightwave's particle dynamics and textured with hypervoxels. The hypervoxel system in lightwave still exits, but has been depreciated with an OpenVDB system. VDB makes better looking smoke/fire/water and renders faster, but seens harder to control for fine detail. Depending on who you talk to VDB stands for "Voxel Data Base" or "Volumetric Data Blocks".

Tools: photoshop, lightwave
